- Complete the Early Intervention Orientation on the Early Intervention Technical Assistance Online Learning Portal.
Early Intervention Orientation course: This online course provides an overview of Early Intervention including legal foundations, rationale and service delivery. Current trends, practices and processes are described. Emphases also include the importance of family participation and community systems and resources. This course is recommended for newly hired Early Intervention personnel as part of their pre-service training but is not mandatory. You will need to complete the course within a four week time period.
Credits: 6 Act 48 Hours; or 6 Infant/Toddler Hours.
Registration: This course is available by registering on the PaTTAN online registration Training Calendar. Choose the month you would like to take the course then click on the course title listed on the 1st day of that month. You need to register before the 25th day of the month to enroll for the following month. Please use the registration key EION (ALL CAPS).

Early Childhood Outcomes: This version of the ECO 101 job aid is intended for audiences who are new to Early Childhood Outcomes or who need a certificate of completion. You will need to complete the quiz at the end of this job aid with a score of 80% or above to receive a certificate of completion for one hour of training.
Credits: No Credit Hours.

Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning online course provides a foundation for the understanding of social and emotional development in infants and toddlers. Module 1 provides an overview of social and emotional development within the context of relationships. Attachment, temperament, self-regulation and the context of family, community and culture are emphasized. Module 2 provides an overview of responsive routines, environments, and strategies to support social emotional development in infants and toddlers. Observation, responsive care giving, emotional literacy and development of social skills are explored. Module 3 looks at individualized interventions for infants and toddlers through determining the meaning of behavior and developing appropriate responses. Behavior as communication and responding to challenging behaviors are highlighted.
